reading and writing week 9











Looking back at the weeks at the readings and writing assignments I have realized my writing has became more structured and more organised than it has been before. My favourite reading so far has been the reading on growth mindset. I feel there has been a lot of ideals that I can take used for my life personally to grow as a person and I really recommend it to others. My reading notes have been helping me with my game I feel I know where everything is and could programme some small stuff. I think some of the strategies I have learned from the reading like the who what where and why and looking at the conclusion piece at the end to get an overview is something I can take and I use.





I chose this image because I liked the way the image looks. I think that it was well edited and has a nice background with it. The image has a nice fade to it as well. I think looking forward I can improve my reading and writing by engaging more in the lectures a bit more when they are on.

                                                                                         Intro duction I feel my best module was last year was Web Development in terms of grades and how much I learned, however the module I say had the most fun in was Digital Media, especially in the lectures when we had small group tasks. It was fun to participate in them even though I always felt embarrassed to talk present the work we created in them. I think that my achievement was getting through the modules and passing them and being able to adapt myself to the virtual world when Covid 19 came. Now being in year 2 I think the I should aim higher in terms of grades and quality of work because I know more now. My goal for this module is to see if I can learn the skills well enough to make a game, and if I can achieve that would me satisfied, because it would be something I have never did before and that would be a win for me.

Prototype

  Hi Guys This is my prototype to Gario the game, what I found difficult creating the game was trying to make the game 3D. Because basing the game on other games that are 2D, I suppose this was always going to be a slight problem. That being said I looked into it a bit more into it If I could make a 2D game into a 3D game. The research came out that you could do it. I even found one YouTube video saying that you could do that and was giving instructions on how you could do it.  The first thing I did was opened up unity and then set the name of this particular project to prototype. I also changed the dimension of the game to 2D, after that I then proceeded to change the background in unity to black . The next thing I did was I made a file called Scripts so it would be easier to save later stuff what I needed to put in. In that I made C # Script, which I called PlayerController. Game Research

     The game idea I am going to base my research on is agar, which is a game I want to base my game on. I think if I can pull it off, It would be such a fun game to create and make in the end. The game will be addictive, However if I find that is too hard to make I can still go back to the brainstorms I had and use One of them. Game Mechanics: The mechanics of my game should allow you to grow bigger every time that you eat something or get close to something that you touch and when you get touched or get eaten, you will start again from the beginning as a small object. This will in turn affect your score too. The bigger you get will affect how big your score as well. The bigger you get the more points you will get as you grow bigger and bigger. I would like my game to place in empty land. There wont have to be any obstacles as such but the actual items that are playing the game.
