First Playable

Image
Hi Guys  Today I worked on my project and today I can tell you I seen progress from where I started till where I ended up at. What I did today was that I had to make the mesh or the player change colour every time I pressed play on the game to start. I did this by making a file that was called material, so that the assets place where all the files were neat and organised. When that was created, in that folder created the next step was to click in it and right click in it then go down the list to material and select it. This then gave me a round looking object. I decided to make five if theses materials and name them each by the colour I wanted them to be. After making these material colours and linking it to the mesh, now when I press play it changes colour either from red to green to pink or even blue. Now what I did next was make the food randomer. I did that code for that by following a YouTube video. From this I code I could make food come out randomly. Since the y...

Prototype

Image
Hi Guys This is my prototype to Gario the game, what I found difficult creating the game was trying to make the game 3D. Because basing the game on other games that are 2D, I suppose this was always going to be a slight problem. That being said I looked into it a bit more into it If I could make a 2D game into a 3D game. The research came out that you could do it. I even found one YouTube video saying that you could do that and was giving instructions on how you could do it.  The first thing I did was opened up unity and then set the name of this particular project to prototype. I also changed the dimension of the game to 2D, after that I then proceeded to change the background in unity to black . The next thing I did was I made a file called Scripts so it would be easier to save later stuff what I needed to put in. In that I made C # Script, which I called PlayerController. Before working in the script I decided to make a player. I just right clicked and then clicked into i...

Game Design Document

Image
My ideas for this game is to make it a simple but fun and addictive game. I think it will turn out well in the end, however I do have a bit of a fear when it comes to actually making the game in terms of the physics and technical side of the game. Another fear of mine is that will it be too basic and what to add to it to make it more fun whether it be layout. For my game design document I found that I could not elaborate on certain topics such as the technical side because I don't entirely know what technical things the game will specifically, but maybe with more research I might know what the game needs All in all I think with more work and research and just creating the game I think in the end it will work out. deuces ✌ link to my Game Doc https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tBBeGf5Njt9KJesPwWp-FPgQJ83o8e9vE9HIoMa6tKw/edit?usp=sharing

Game vision statement

Image
*Hi Guys* I am going to describe to you guys what a game vision statement and then give you mine. A game statement is pretty much a pitch of the game you are going to create on paper. It should give you what the genre of the game is and what are the specific mechanics of a game and how it should look like. It should also tell you the storyline of the game. The document should also have the goals you want the specific game to achieve. The game I am going to present is "Agar 3d". This game is a single or multiplayer game that will be online and very easy to play.  Description: In this game when you start playing the game, the first thing you will do is choose what colour you want your character to be and from there you will then go start the game open land. You will find when you look around it is a square and it will be on grass land but the landscape can vary. You might find yourself as a round ball in a sandy terrain or you might be s...

Game Research

Image
The game idea I am going to base my research on is agar, which is a game I want to base my game on. I think if I can pull it off, It would be such a fun game to create and make in the end. The game will be addictive, However if I find that is too hard to make I can still go back to the brainstorms I had and use One of them. Game Mechanics: The mechanics of my game should allow you to grow bigger every time that you eat something or get close to something that you touch and when you get touched or get eaten, you will start again from the beginning as a small object. This will in turn affect your score too. The bigger you get will affect how big your score as well. The bigger you get the more points you will get as you grow bigger and bigger. I would like my game to place in empty land. There wont have to be any obstacles as such but the actual items that are playing the game. I would like the game to be crowded so it makes it hard, as once the thing gets bigger it get...

Game Brainstorm

Image
Game Idea one My first game idea is based of the few tutorials. I think that a good idea of a game would be to have a trucks, and the trucks would be different colour and the person playing the game can choose the colour of his truck. Then what I can do is extend the road and maybe make the road wider, so that not just the one truck can fit in, but more can fit in. I then could add other materials like boxes and make them a obstacles but we can add more than just boxes. We could add obstacles, such as holes and speed bumps on the road, so it adds to the excitement to the player. I think that another feature I could add to the game is the ability to knock other trucks out off the road to fall so that they're out of the game.  Game Idea two Agar is a multiplayer online game that requires that you must eat other dots to grow and get larger. The aim of the game is to be the largest dot, but you have to be careful  that you don't get eaten by a dot that is larger to you. My ...
