Thematic Review

One common theme I have seen from my reading of the bibliographies that I worked on is the use of money in the gaming industry. In the first bibliography it talks about the gambling aspect of how the gaming industry encourages people to gamble. There might be features like " pay as you go" or bonuses if you reach a cert point. Features like these may be encouraging young adult to spend their money and could be encouraging gambling. In the bibliography "Role of Virtual Gambling and Gaming Behaviours" it talks about how social media and Gaming has affect on young adults getting into gambling in a young age in contrast to the earlier bibliography.

Another common theme I have noticed in the bibliographies that I have collected is that in the gaming industry is the marketing models that are used. In Nora's "Paid and Free Digital Business Models Innovations in the Video Gaming Industry", it talks about the models companies in the gaming industry choose to approach such as freemium, free to play, advertisement and subscription, while in the bibliography about "Innovation and Marketing in the Video Gaming Industry  " by David Wesley Gloria Barzcak, it talks about two different types of markets(early market and the mainstream market) in comparison to the early bibliography where it talks about market models.

One theme I found from reading some of the bibliographies is the impact social media has in the industry of gaming. In the article "Paid and Free Digital Business..." by Nora , she mentions how the internet and social media has revolutionized the business models because of the growth of these over time and in the article "Role of Virtual..." it says how that social media can have gamble like features like online games and that it encourages gambling. In the two comparisons, you have some insight on how social media can be a positive impact and a negative impact.

A small there that I have been seeing occur a bit was the gaming industry have some problems when it was a new industry. the article from what I read that talks about this is "Down times, but still playing" by Mirko Envirst. In this article it says that when the gaming industry was newly formed it went through problems that would lead into crashes in the industry. This was because of the technology and other factors. In the article "Work of play"  It says the industry was lacking structure which in turn made the industry and economy fail.
